Recycling of end-of-life vehicles

recycling, dismantling and reuse of end-of-life vehicles is an important way to save original resources, realize environmental protection and ensure the rational utilization of national resources. It is one of the important measures for China's sustainable economic development. The recycling of end-of-life vehicles is a systematic project involving a wide range of aspects, which requires both the government to strengthen macro-control through perfect laws and regulations, and the market to reasonably allocate resources, and the appropriate cooperation between the two is difficult to grasp. In this regard, developed countries have accumulated some experience in line with the law of market economy through years of exploration and practice. Using these experiences for reference is conducive to accelerating the smooth development of the recycling of end-of-life vehicles in China

the foreign ELV recycling and dismantling demonstration project has some typical characteristics:

(1) mature technology

for example, the "Scandinavian environmental vehicle recycling facility (ecris)" project participated by Volvo company in Sweden, which is a demonstration project for recycling ELVs. From 1996 to 1997, the first phase of the project established a demonstration project for the disassembly of all Volvo models. From 1997 to 1999, the second phase of the project will establish a demonstration project of car dismantling for all European models. Ecris not only stresses environmental benefits, but also pursues economic benefits. Its funds come from the sale of car dismantling materials, the contribution of shareholders and scientific research subsidies. Its research contents include environmental impact, material recovery, energy recovery, toxic substances, and coordinated transportation. Among them, if the engine and transmission can be repaired without spending too much money, they can be reused, tested and repaired by technicians, and then sold to repair shops for reuse. Ecris also gives these used engines a 30 day warranty

(2) national recycling network

for example, the Bavaria automobile factory in Germany, together with the environmental protection branches of Thyssen company, proisag company and Kleiner company, has established a similar sales chain of national recycling, which deals with the engines, batteries, glasses, safety belts, bumpers, door pockets, gasoline, lubricants, coolants, etc. of used cars by categories. It has also taken the initiative to provide a large number of computer software services to recyclers, making the recycling efficiency of various regions jump sharply. Ford has always been at the forefront of its peers in automobile recycling. At the end of the 20th century, Nasser, the former president of the company, aimed at the used car recycling business, which can not only reduce the waste of waste cars, but also obtain huge profits. He quietly bought the largest car recycling center in Florida, the covid Brothers Auto Parts Company, and then quietly bought the largest car repair chain company in Europe, kvig Fett company, It has become a "pacesetter" in the recycling of used cars in Europe and the United States. Subsequently, Ford company also used Ford manufacturing technology to process used car parts in its own sphere of influence in the United States, and input relevant information into the computer network for all repair shops to inquire, and then used Ford company's sales and transportation network to timely transport and supply used car parts, thus forming an all pervasive automobile recycling network

(3) management informatization

the waste automobile recycling demonstration project completed by the Great Lakes Institute for recycling markets in 1998, including production process demonstration, equipment demonstration, warehousing logistics demonstration, parts reuse, remanufacturing demonstration, etc. the information of all processes is managed by computers, It also provides business process management software for car dismantling plants. The i.d.i.s. - international car dismantling information system provided by Doncaster motor sparks in the UK is a CD-ROM version, which is applicable to the business processes of all car dismantling plants and can also determine which materials can be reused

(4) high utilization rate of auto parts

in 2000, 85% of all auto parts in Germany could be recycled; The recycling rate of auto parts disassembled in France is 75%. In 2002, the recycling rate of auto parts disassembled in France increased to 85%. By 2015, only 5% of every car in Germany will be discarded as garbage

domestic work on the recycling, dismantling and reuse of end-of-life vehicles is constantly moving closer to the world. In 1999, Shanghai Volkswagen engine remanufacturing plant was established, and the advanced technology, equipment and technical standards of German Volkswagen remanufactured engine were introduced. Strict control was carried out in all links from the repurchase, production and testing of waste engines, so as to ensure that the remanufactured engine has the quality of new engines. Since 2000, the factory has launched its own green product - remanufactured engines. When measuring the diagonal length in 2001, more than 2000 sets have been sold, and the sales price is only 55% of the new engine. In 2003, China's national economy was collectively referred to as wood plastic composites, and the Trade Commission published the second batch of scrapped German companies on the basis of 3.0 to explore the list of automobile recycling and disassembly enterprises from 4.0. The scrap car recycling information management system software and scrap car information commissioned by the China material driven precision screw pair experimental Recycling Association have been completed and selectively tested in individual recycling and dismantling enterprises

to sum up, there is still a certain gap between the recycling, dismantling and reuse technology of end-of-life vehicles in China and foreign countries, and the reuse types and utilization rate of retired parts need to be continuously improved
